One small bag - many possibilities Universal tactical shoulder bag for a day. It refers to the pouch used in the US Army since the 1960s to transport the M18A1 mine called Claymore. They have a wider range of uses, not only for bushcraft and tourism, but also for other outdoor or urban activities. Solid materials at hand Due to the 500D Cordura - much more durable than conventional nylon and polyester - the Claymore Bag is abrasion-resistant. You can drive it into town and use it every day, e.g. when you drive to work or university. Our Claymore is also suitable as a tactical bag, keeping gear safe even when traversing a dense forest or between rocks. Velcro and snaps protect small items from falling out.
Well organized place To increase the potential of the Claymore Bag, we've equipped it with fourteen pockets. This allows it to be used as a holdall, with room for spare ammo, a canteen and a light jacket (like a Windrunner or Tramontane). Users who always need to be ready can use it as a larger EDC organizer. The Claymore Bag has space for a liter bottle, a flap bag, a small ax etc. It completes our range of bags and fills the gap between the eight liter Haversack and the less spacious two and a half liter Essential kit bag.
Outside - comfort and accessibility In an emergency, we have placed the outer pockets so that they can be accessed as quickly as possible. On the front, the Claymore Bag has two large patch pockets with Velcro and (if required) snap fasteners. Inside each of them are two flat pockets perfect for AR/AK magazines. We also added three pockets to the back of the bag so you may want more space. Altogether there are nine pockets, seven of which are flat and two are convex.
Inside - security and order The bag's rectangular compartment is secured with a zip and divided into four flat pockets and a space to accommodate them; r a notebook, a tablet etc. offers. In addition, there is another zipped pocket in the back wall for valuables, e.g. important documents or money. A total of five pockets and space in between. Locks and other small items can be hung on the loops for easy access.
A shoulder bag full of history One of the most distinctive items of equipment worn by US Army soldiers during the Vietnam War was the M7 bandolier. It is a military bag with snap button closure and two pockets. One carried an M18A1 anti-personnel mine called a Claymore (like a great Scottish sword). The other housed the M57 ignitor and performance tester. After the detonation of each mine, the soldier was left with such a bag, which over time was simply called the “claymore bag”, and was used to transport equipment. It was re-manufactured and used after the end of service. The military shoulder bag was so popular that its civilian version was made commercially.
